The windows registry is a directory which is used by software applications installed on your PC to store system and configuration files. If you don't feel you have the technical knowledge to undertake this task manually, there is another option. There are a number of affordable software programs which clean your windows registry at a touch of a button. Since this is a process you will want to repeat, it is probably worth your while investing in one of the many commercial registry cleaners available on the market.
